Schoolhaus: One-Pager
Date: December 19, 2025 Founders: Gary Sheng & Ron Roberts
What Is Schoolhaus?
Schoolhaus is an agency that helps teachers become school entrepreneurs. We provide the support, tools, and guidance that educators need to escape the traditional system and launch their own microschools.
Eventually, it's the go-to media company for school entrepreneurs (direct sales funnel). Most of the initial content will be captured through the process of building in public.
Our Focus: Beloved teachers who want out but aren't naturally entrepreneurial. They know how to teach and create a nourishing environment for children. We help them build a business.
The Opportunity: Year One of Texas TEFA
Texas is launching private school vouchers (TEFA) in early 2026. The state will spend heavily promoting this to parents. Demand is coming. Supply isn't ready.
- Billions in government subsidies flowing to education
- Parents will be actively searching for alternatives
- Not enough microschools exist to meet the demand
- Teachers are burned out and looking for exits
The window is now. First movers in each area will capture the market.
Why Teachers Need Us
Starting a school is hard. Starting a business is harder. Teachers know curriculum and kids and have spent years mastering pouring love into children. What they don't know is strategy, marketing, websites, enrollment, or operations.
What teachers need help with:
- Designing their school concept (for School-Community Fit)
- Building a website and brand
- Marketing to parents in their area
- Filling seats for launch
- Navigating TEFA vendor requirements
- Understanding the business model
Our role: We're the wraparound support that turns a great teacher into a successful school founder.
The Model
Default Platform: Prenda (TEFA-approved, only need 2 students to start)
Location Thesis: Churches and libraries are ideal microschool locations - they exist in every populated community, often have underutilized space, and are already trusted community anchors.
Our Services:
- School design and vision development
- Website and marketing support
- Enrollment strategy and seat-filling
- Ongoing operational guidance
- Connection to vendor ecosystem
Revenue: Contingency-based. No upfront fees. We take a percentage of tuition revenue only after your school is operational and earning. Like a lawyer who works on contingency - you don't pay unless we win. We succeed when schools succeed.
The FOMO Factor
Teachers need to understand: the money runs out.
- First microschools in an area capture the families
- TEFA funds are limited - early movers get funded
- Parent word-of-mouth compounds for established schools
- Being second means fighting for scraps
Move fast or miss the window.

Why Gary & Ron
We've seen what doesn't work (Alpha). Now we're building what does.
The Bottom Line
Year One is everything. We prove the model or we don't.
By end of 2026, Schoolhaus will have:
- Launched 3-5+ microschools across Texas
- Established reputation as the trusted partner for teacher-entrepreneurs
- Built repeatable playbook for school founding
- Created content library and community of school founders
The government is spending billions to create demand. We're creating the supply.
"Schoolhaus is a great fucking name for an agency that's helping build fucking schools."
