Mission​

To spread the benefits of AI to all by raising up a generation of engineers who help businesses and other organizations implement AI systems so they can better serve their customers and constituents.

The world’s best ecosystem, comprising local chapters across the globe, and open resource library for equipping people to apply AI to business, government, and other organizations.

Who We Serve​

  • Applied AI engineers helping businesses, governments, and other local organizations implement systems that use machine intelligence to efficiently empower personnel and support growth.
  • Business owners and operators who want practical ROI using AI they control, not hype, or unwanted tradeoffs of autonomy and digital ownership for convenience.
  • Tool builders who want to understand what practitioners actually need so they can build AI tools that deeply serve humanity

What We Believe​

AI should be a jetpack, not a replacement. The goal is empowering humans to work ON the business, not IN it.

The gap isn't innovation—it's implementation. Most businesses aren't leveraging tools that already exist. Low-lift changes with the right guidance can save thousands to millions to billions of dollars a year.

Business outcomes over technology fascination. We don't care about the latest model benchmarks. We care about measurable results: time saved, costs cut, employee and customer satisfaction increased, revenue grown.

Vendor-neutral, standards-first. We're not here to promote one company over another. Our loyalty is to open tools and solutions that conform to emerging and existing standards—making implementation easier and avoiding lock-in.

AI autonomy over AI dependency. Businesses should own their AI capabilities, not rent them. We favor solutions that give organizations control, portability, and independence.

Open documentation. Every case study, every workflow pattern, every success and failure—shared freely so the whole community benefits.

What We Do​

  1. Curate proven workflows — Build a definitive library of documented AI applications that deliver real business value
  2. Connect businesses with help — When someone needs implementation support, make it easy to find qualified applied AI engineers
  3. Educate both sides — Train business owners and operators to understand their options, and train Applied AI engineers to serve them well
  4. Increase cross-disciplinary communication — Help people connect with people and ideas through meetups, webinars, open spaces, conference tracks, and dedicated conferences.

Our Standard​

If we don't make it easy for businesses to:

  • Apply AI to help their businesses succeed
  • Find the help they need during economic uncertainty and rapid technological change
  • Build AI systems that are human-centric and a net positive for employees, partners, and customers

...we are not doing our job.

The Counter-Narrative​

While others obsess over AGI timelines and existential risk, we're telling a different story. One where AI makes humans more human. Where local businesses become more competitive. Where technology serves rather than enslaves.

This is practical work. Important work. The kind of work that helps millions of people navigate this transition with dignity intact.
