Cover Letter: VP, Ecosystem Marketing & Developer Relations
Wednesday, October 29th, 2025
Dear Circle Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the VP, Ecosystem Marketing & Developer Relations role because I believe stablecoins are one of the most important things happening in crypto right now, and Circle is building the infrastructure that makes programmable money real.
I'm a developer who builds communities. I spent four years as a software engineer at Google Cloud, and I've spent the last several years organizing technical communities and helping builders find their place in emerging technology spaces. I've done ecosystem marketing across crypto, AI, and education technology. I understand how developers learn, how they build, and how to earn their trust.
Why I'm a Fit (And Where I'm Stretching)
I want to be transparent: I haven't held a formal "DevRel" title before. What I have done is build and scale tech-centered communities from the ground up, create technical content strategies, organize large tech conferences, and help builders navigate emerging platforms. I've been in adjacent roles, and I learn fast.
What I bring to the table:
I write code.
I’m well connected in developer communities, recently graduating top of my class at Gauntlet AI, an AI-first coding bootcamp.
I've organized cryptocurrency education initiatives, and cross-functional ecosystem programs. I know how to create "big tent" environments where different types of builders feel welcome.
I've designed go-to-market strategies for developer platforms like Gitcoin Passport, created technical content that resonates with builder audiences, and represented technical products at conferences and media moments like Consensus, ETH Denver, and DevConnect.
I've organized multiple technical and cross-industry events, including Edge City Denver 2024—a seven-day developer event alongside ETHDenver with 3,000+ attendees and 4.6/5 average satisfaction. I designed the programming, recruited speakers, and built the buzz through consistent, compelling communication that made the concept feel inevitable.
I've worked at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Growth. I know how to translate between technical teams and business objectives. I can speak to engineers, executives, and ecosystem partners with equal fluency.
I think stablecoins are the killer app for crypto. Programmable dollars that move at internet speed, globally accessible, enabling financial inclusion at scale - this is what crypto should be about. I want to help builders discover what's possible when money becomes as programmable as data.
The Ask
I'm applying to the VP role because it's what's available, but I'm flexible on title and level. What I care about is the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow with Circle. I would need time to earn the right to be a leader among seasoned DevRel professionals, but I'm confident I can deliver meaningful impact quickly.
I'm looking for a hiring manager who sees potential and is willing to invest in someone who can learn fast, execute consistently, and build something meaningful. I think that's me.
I appreciate your consideration and the opportunity to share why I believe I'd be a great addition to the Circle team.
