Way of Fire Interview Session Plan

Purpose: Structured interview sessions with Apostle Delmar Coward Jr. for "The Way of Fire" book chapters
Format: 30-minute focused conversations per session

Session 1: Foundation - Daily Spiritual Disciplines

Chapter Focus: "Living on Fire Daily" - The rhythm of kingdom life

Core Questions:

  • What is the importance of daily Bible study and daily declarations?
  • Walk me through your morning faith declarations - how do you word them as "words of power"?
  • Why do you have scripture "snacks" every 30 minutes throughout the day on Google Calendar?
  • Why is it valuable to be "chewing on verses" so consistently?
  • How can people translate these truths to their own context and life situation?

  • How to make declarations personal and powerful
  • The difference between religious routine and living discipline

Session 2: Prayer and Communication with God

Chapter Focus: "The Language of Fire" - How to pray with power

Core Questions:

  • What is prayer? What's the true purpose of it?
  • Are there different kinds of prayers? What are they?
  • What do most people get wrong when they pray?
  • Why is it wrong to pray like you're begging?
  • What does it mean to pray through declaration of what's already written?
  • Why does God love it when you know His word and speak it back to Him?
  • How does God speak to people? How does God speak to you?

Session 3: Israel and God's Covenant People

Chapter Focus: "Letter to Christians Who Don't Support Israel"

Core Questions:

  • What do you say to Christians who have deep suspicion and hatred toward Jewish people?
  • What about Christians who don't care about the descendants of Abraham?
  • What about those who want to pull funding and diplomatic support from Israel?
  • What do you say to Christians who think Jerusalem isn't important for believers?
  • How should we think about Jews who deny Christ? Are all Christians called to minister to them?

Session 4: Authority - Earthly and Spiritual Power

Chapter Focus: "Render Unto Caesar" - Navigating earthly and heavenly authority

  • Can you explain "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" - is that still relevant?
  • What's the importance of police departments really believing "In God We Trust"?
  • What's the role of police officers and earthly judges in God's plan?

  • What does God say about food and drink?
  • What does God say about drunkenness and control of your body?

Session 6: Technology and the Modern World

Chapter Focus: "Fire in the Digital Age" - Christians and technology

Core Questions:

  • How should Christians think about technology?
  • Why is it important that Christians are involved in shaping technology?
  • How should Christians use technology? When is technology bad?
  • What do you say to people who purely demonize technology?
  • How should we think about the "mark of the beast" with technology?
  • Why does the Internet open up new possibilities for uncorrupted relationships with God?

Session 7: Eternal Realities - Heaven, Hell, and Other Religions

  • Why should people care about the reality of heaven and hell?
  • What should people tell their friends about eternal life vs. eternal separation?
  • What do you think about New Age spirituality? Why is it wrong?

  • What do you think about Hinduism and Buddhism?
  • How can people in these religions find the truth?

Session 8: The Power of Words - Speaking Life and Death

Chapter Focus: "Fire from Your Mouth" - The authority of the tongue

Core Questions:

  • What does it mean that "life and death are in the power of the tongue"?
  • How do words create reality? How do they activate faith?
  • What's the difference between speaking life vs. speaking death?
  • Why did you say "The power of life and death is not in the virus. It's in my mouth"?
  • How do declarations work differently than regular prayer or conversation?
  • What are examples of words that bring life vs. words that bring death?
  • How should Christians speak about their circumstances, health, finances, relationships?
  • What does it mean to "call those things that are not as though they are"?

  • What does it mean to be "bivocational"? How has your life been bivocational?

Session 10: Spiritual Warfare and Satan's Kingdom

  • What is Satan? How does he manifest in this world?
  • What is his relationship with different industries like the music industry?
  • How does he influence or possess different people?
  • What do we do about his army of devils?
  • What is the importance of receiving good spiritual covering?
  • What makes a good spiritual coverer? What makes a good pastor vs. not good?

Session 11: Money, Wealth, and Recompense

Chapter Focus: "Kingdom Economics" - God's financial principles

Core Questions:

  • How should believers think about money?
  • Does God want every believer to be wealthy? How wealthy?
  • Is wealth part of people's callings, or not necessarily?
  • What happens when you've been injured or wronged? How does God's legal system work?
  • What is recompense? How do people get rectified?
  • What does it mean to live by faith instead of worry and fear about provision?

  • Trusting God for provision vs. presumption

Session 12: Character and Relationships

Chapter Focus: "The Heart on Fire" - Character formation and love

Core Questions:

  • What is love? How has the world changed the definition of love?
  • How has Satan changed love? What does love have to do with truth?
  • What does it mean to be faithful in the sense of keeping your word?
  • Why is it so hard for people to be faithful? Why is faithfulness valuable?
  • What does God say about the desires of your heart?
  • What's the importance of family? What does God say about husbands and wives?
  • What does God say about fear? How do you avoid having fear in your life?

  • Marriage and family as ministry
  • Dealing with anger biblically
  • Building godly character traits

Session 13: Your Personal Journey and Legacy

Chapter Focus: "The Making of an Apostle" - Apostle's testimony and vision

Core Questions:

  • Who are you, Apostle? How were you raised?
  • What shaped your path to being so on fire and all-in on God?
  • What's the importance of being very guarded about who and what influences you?
  • Why is it so important to be thoughtful about who can influence your worldview?
  • How can people get covering under you? How can they connect with you?
  • How can people receive your teachings and stay plugged in?
  • How can someone actually make fire their lifestyle - godliness their lifestyle?
  • Why are we here? What's our ultimate purpose?

  • What does God say about racism? What do you think about race as a black man?
  • What about pastors who talk all the time about race, seeming to put race over God?
  • What do you think about idolatry in general?

Session 15: Worship, Baptism, and Church Life

Chapter Focus: "The Fire of Worship" - Corporate spiritual life

Core Questions:

  • What's the importance of worship? What's the importance of music in all this?
  • What's the evidence that God wants to be praised?
  • What do you think about baptisms - Holy Spirit, fire, and water baptisms?
  • How should we think about religious institutions and denominations?
  • Can your teaching apply within denominations? Why or why not?
  • What do you think about faith and works? Does God call us to do good works?

Implementation Strategy:

Pre-Interview Preparation:

  1. Send Apostle the specific session questions 24-48 hours in advance
  2. Let him pray and meditate on the topics
  3. Encourage him to gather any relevant testimonies or examples

During Interview:

  1. Start with brief prayer for wisdom and anointing
  2. Focus on one main theme per session
  3. Ask for specific examples and testimonies
  4. Get practical application advice
  5. End with key scripture references

Post-Interview Processing:

  1. Transcribe within 24 hours while fresh
  2. Identify the strongest quotes and testimonies
  3. Determine chapter format (letter, story, teaching, etc.)
  4. Create draft chapter outline
  5. Schedule follow-up if needed for clarification

Chapter Development:

  • Each session becomes 1-2 chapters depending on content depth
  • Mix formats: some as letters, some as teachings, some as testimonies
  • Include practical application sections
  • Add relevant scripture references throughout
  • Create memorable frameworks (like "Seven Laws of Fire")

This structure gives you approximately 12-14 focused interview sessions that will provide rich material for a comprehensive "Way of Fire" book covering all major aspects of kingdom living and apostolic ministry.
