Hey everyone!

Talked to Emma and we agreed an async update for Applied AI Society would suffice for this week (so we are canceling the Frida sync).

Quick updates:

  • I did the AITX hackathon (which was sponsored by NVIDIA x ASUS x Arm) this weekend, and won with me team! The win has been helping me network more rapidly in the AI engineer community here in Austin.
  • The applied AI concept is resonating a lot so far. The AITX organizers are excited to co-host an Applied AI Society event. We're looking at January 29th for that. This gives us time to refine the messaging, branding, and overall vision before we launch publicly.
  • I got word that the Society is likely approved for a monthly space at Capital Factory, but Antler VC (associated with AITX) is happy to regularly provide space.

  • More to be figured out about event staffing, recording, and food etc but we will get there.
