Summary

Andrew Wommack delivers a profound teaching on the power of imagination as a spiritual tool for conceiving miracles. Drawing from Isaiah 26:3 and extensive biblical analysis, he reveals that the Hebrew word "yetzer" (translated as "mind") actually means "imagination" or "conception" - establishing imagination as our "spiritual womb" where God's promises are conceived before manifesting in reality.

Key Biblical Foundation

Isaiah 26:3 Revelation:

"Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee."

Wommack's Commentary:

"The Greek word ye tetzer... That's the word that was translated mind. This same word is translated four different times in the Old Testament, imagination... the definition according to Strongs... it literally means conception that's the only definition of this word."

Core Principles

1. Imagination as Spiritual Conception

Key Quote:

"Your imagination is how you conceive. How you let the word of God conceive on the inside of you... Your imagination is your spiritual womb. It's where you conceive things. If you can't see it on the inside in your imagination you will never see it on the outside."

Powerful Analogy:

"We would think a woman absolutely stupid if she was praying for a child and yet never had a physical relationship. You don't get babies from the stork... You don't just pray for miracles. You conceive miracles."

2. Words Paint Pictures in Our Minds

Demonstration:

"Did you know words paint pictures? Most people don't think this way... if I say dog, you don't picture D O G. You picture an animal... I could say a big black dog, a big black mean dog, and I could just keep using words and it changes the picture on the inside of it. You think in pictures."

Memory Connection:

"You cannot remember anything that you can't picture... You can't function without an imagination."

3. The Power of Godly Imagination vs. Vain Imagination

Biblical Pattern:

"There is only one positive scripture about imagination in the entire Bible. There's 35 times in the Old Testament that the word imagination or imaginations is used, but it's used negatively... But see, that's not what the Esau did. They got a name that constantly reminded them of their baby girl was going to be healthy and whole."

The Solution:

"Most of us are using it to imagine negative things... We've got to intentionally change the way we think and imagine our life going."

Personal Testimonies

Building His Ministry Campus

Vision Becoming Reality:

"All of this was on the inside of me at one time... I conceived every bit of this... I've been dreaming about this for decades. And I was in Carl's rule, Germany... I looked and I said, 'If I ever build a place, I'm going to build it like this.' And did you know when I saw I I had thoughts about it, but when I could see it, it just crystallized on the inside of me."

The Process:

"When you cons when you hear the word of the Lord and you conceive something in your heart, that is more exciting to me than actually seeing the fulfillment of it. Conception is always more exciting for me than birth."

Raising His Son from the Dead

Six Months of Preparation:

"I took those words and I started acting it out. I saw Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead and not do it in a whisper in case nothing happened and he wouldn't be embarrassed. He yelled out in a loud voice. And I would see myself doing this. And I meditated on these things for about six months."

The Result:

"In my dreams, I must have started raising 20 to 30 people a night from the dead because I was just focused on raising people from the dead. I started conceiving it... And when we got into Colorado Springs, my oldest son met me at the door and he says, 'I don't know what happened, but just a few minutes after I called you, he just sat up and started talking.' He was in a morg. He had been in a morg for 4 hours, stripped naked in a freezer with a tow tag on, pronounced dead, and he sat up and started talking with no brain damage."

The Word as Incorruptible Seed

Biblical Foundation:

"It says in 1 Peter 1 23 it says being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God that lives and abides forever. And the word for seed in that verse is the word spora where we get the word spore from... The word of God is a sperm and you have to get it off of this page. It has to become alive to you."

The Process:

"If you'll take this incorruptible seed and plant it in your heart, it will vary in time... But the principle is that this word contains your seed for healing. And if you will plant it in your heart... it's an incorruptible seed. Incorruptible, that means... this never ever ever fails to produce."

Hope as Positive Imagination

Revolutionary Insight:

"If it's that powerful, how come it's not used in a positive way in scripture except that one verse?... And it dawned on me that hope is positive imagination. Imagination is used nearly exclusively in the Bible to talk about negative things that have to be thrown down. But a positive imagination, it's seeing something with your heart that you can't see with your eyes. That's what the Bible calls hope."

Faith Connection:

"And faith is the substance of things hoped for. Amen. If you don't have hope, if you can't picture it, if you can't get an imagination, if you don't conceive it, then you're going to have to go to somebody else and get a surrogate birth."

Practical Application

The Healing Example

Powerful Story:

"A healing evangelist came to their church and the husband's uh the wife of the pastor was nearly blind... he says, 'I'm not telling you to open your eyes. Can you see yourself seeing without those glasses?' And she finally understood what he was talking about. That's the imagination. The ability to see something with your heart that you can't see with your eyes."

The Breakthrough:

"She finally kept her eyes closed and just prayed in tongues for about 10 minutes. And then she says, 'I can see it.' And he says, 'Now open your eyes.' and she opened her eyes and her eyes were healed."

Self-Identification Challenge

The Problem:

"Most of us only know ourselves in the flesh. We don't know who we are in our spirit... But you need to get to a place to where you see yourself as if you have never sinned, as if there is no fallacy."

The Solution:

"The spirit within you has already raised people from the dead. It's already seen blind eyes open, deaf ears open. Are you going to go and identify with your carnal self and just function in your limitations? Or are you going to see who you are in Christ?"

The Role of the Holy Spirit

Essential Connection:

"Without the Holy Spirit, I don't think you can have a creative a positive imagination... without the ministry of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible for you to stay positive in a negative world."

Life Transformation:

"When I got baptized in the Holy Spirit... boom, like that, my imagination began to change... immediately my thinking changed... the Bible became alive because the Holy Spirit is the one that wrote the Bible."

The Greatest Experience:

"As great as those things are [miracles], the greatest experience in my life is when I'm just reading a verse and it comes alive to me. When I can I can tell when I conceive something. I can tell when this word comes alive. And that's the greatest experience."

Key Takeaways

  1. Imagination is Biblical: The Hebrew word for "mind" in Isaiah 26:3 literally means "conception" or "imagination"
  2. Spiritual Womb: Your imagination is where God's promises are conceived before manifesting
  3. Active Process: You must actively see yourself healed, blessed, and victorious, not just pray and wait
  4. Word as Seed: Scripture contains incorruptible seeds that never fail to produce when properly planted in the heart
  5. Hope = Positive Imagination: Biblical hope is seeing with your heart what you cannot yet see with your eyes
  6. Holy Spirit Essential: The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers positive imagination and makes Scripture alive

Final Challenge:

"If you could understand what I'm talking about right here, if you could ever grab hold of this, then this is a book full of thousands, tens of thousands of seeds for whatever you need. Finances, joy, peace, healing, prosperity, anything you need. There is a seed with that name on it. And all you have to do is get this and conceive it."
