Gary’s attempt at distilling how he sees the world—this is a perpetual work in progress
- The Most High God ("TMH") created everything.
- TMH exists as Father, Son (Yeshua), and Holy Spirit - three persons, one God. Each person of the Trinity has distinct roles but they are unified in essence and purpose.
- We have a spirit (our connection to TMH); a soul (our mind, will, emotions); body (our physical form).
- After death, if you were "saved," your spirit and soul leave our body and reunite with TMH.
- Before death, while in this temporary realm, we are called to be saved.
- The way to get saved is:
- By Grace (TMH loving you)
- Through Faith (You loving TMH back)
- For Works (Loving what TMH loves)
- As evidenced by a turning from sin (Hating what TMH hates)
- The Holy Spirit convicts you of sin, guides you into truth, and enables your transformation
- Yeshua (Jesus) is both savior and Lord (Christ). He (The "Son" of TMH) died for our sins and rose from the dead, conquering death and providing the only path to salvation. He currently intercedes for believers and will return as judge and king.
- The greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. All other commands flow from these.
- The Bible is TMH's instructions for you on the nature of reality and what you are called to do as His creation.
- The Bible is dense, with lots of parables and symbolic language. It gets easier to decode through mentors in the faith and with the help of the Holy Spirit, which comes into you as you grow in your obedience.
- Different groups that claim Christ as their savior include different books in their Bibles, with different translations.
- There is variance amongst these groups. There seem to be multiple valid ways to worship TMH. Each with different tradeoffs, and resonating to different congregants/members.
- Commonalities across these groups include music or other kinds of art that celebrate TMH, group reading and interpretation of the Bible, baptism rituals, and governance/hierarchy structures.
- Some of these groups are led by Satan worshippers, unfortunately. And many "Christians" are agents of Satan.
- Most people who call themselves Christians but don't actually live like they fear TMH, are called lukewarm Christians. Don't model yourself after them.
- Satan is a fallen angel who corrupts people to a life of sin. He commands an army of evil spirits to help him with this. He operates anywhere we are, including in churches, our homes, and high offices of power. Satan is the "god" of this world, which is why we clarify that TMH is the only true God and "The Most High" God.
- Proponents of non-Christian ideologies are knowingly or unknowingly protecting lives of sin by creating systems that justify rebellion against TMH’s moral order.
- The temporary realm is full of temptations that turn you to a life of sin. It's important to educate yourself on the nature of these temptations, and insulate yourself from the environments captured by satanic forces (and/or strengthen your spiritual armor if you seek to work within these environments).
- You will be tempted with money, sex, power, fame… or whatever else it is that your body has proclivities to want. Resist these temptations and repent when you slip up.
- Repentance means being bluntly honest about your sin.
- I have found that admitting my faults to friends, even if the sin was not committed against them, is healing and supports my spiritual integrity.
- Repentance can and should be a joyful process!
- The Holy Spirit provides daily guidance through prayer, scripture reading, and circumstances. Listen for His voice in major and minor decisions.
- TMH will provide what you need for your calling if you follow his will.
- This doesn't imply a guarantee of wealth simply for being obedient. Wealth is part of the calling of some, but not all.
- TMH calls us to flow resources to His agents (tithing, t'rumah).
- TMH knows when you are ready to be a divine wealth steward. More will flow to the financially responsible, and out of the financially irresponsible.
- You can't worship money if you want to be in TMH’s favor.
- There are two ways to make a living: The atheistic way is the way of toil and strain; the Godly way is the way of faith and flow.
- Your calling is not a self-directed purpose or "making your own meaning." It is serving how TMH wants you to serve, which the Holy Spirit reveals through prayer, scripture, and godly counsel.
- "Miracles" can happen in this temporary realm.
- Healing miracles
- Prophesy
- Controlling of nature
- Reading minds
- Seeing across time and space
- and more…
- Heaven on earth is inside all of us, and is unlocked through heart transformation, a shift from a self-centered view of the world to a God-centered one.
- The utility of building Christian towns is that it creates a stronghold for raising good Christian kids, good Christian businesses, and good Christian schools.
- Regular fellowship with other believers is essential for spiritual growth, accountability, and mutual encouragement. Don't forsake gathering together.
- Do what Christ did and commanded us to do: be baptized and regularly partake of Holy Communion. Through these holy mysteries He connects with us in a very strong Spirit. Demons will do anything to prevent people from doing this because they know how powerful this unity with Christ is.
- Baptism is essential for spiritual rebirth and identification with His death and resurrection.
- Holy Communion is Christ's direct command - eating His flesh and drinking His blood gives eternal life and creates abiding union with Him.
- We are called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. This includes both verbal witness and living as examples of Christ's love.
- Most of us are called to get married to true believing Christians and have good Christian kids.
- Christians should use technology; but not idolize technology. Instead, use it as tools to advance Christian callings.
- Government and politics are not exempt, but are actually very prone to it. Christians should engage wisely - voting according to biblical principles, speaking truth in public discourse, but not idolizing political solutions or earthly power structures.
- Christ will return on a judgment day. And this temporary realm will be gone, replaced by the dwelling place of TMH (most Christians call this "Heaven"). Those who died and were saved, or were saved by judgment day, unite with TMH in Heaven. Those who rejected Christ face eternal separation from TMH.
- Living authentically for Christ often brings suffering and persecution in the temporary realm, even from family and friends. This is normal and expected - Christ promised we would face tribulation in this world.
