Episode 00019: You Don't Need To Know Everything

December 29, 2025

Greeting

Welcome back to The Daily Spirit. Monday, December 29th, 2025. Five minutes of spirit-filled encouragement to start your day.

We're back. I hope you had a beautiful Christmas.

Opening Hook

Do you ever feel frustrated that you can't see how it all connects?

Like you want certainty. You want the full picture. You want to know exactly what 2026 looks like. But God just isn't giving you that.

Yeah. Me too.

Scripture

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track."

Don't try to figure out everything on your own. That's a command. Not a suggestion.

Personal Touch

I just got back to Texas after spending a few days with my brother, his girlfriend, and my parents. It was refreshing. Time to reflect. Time to rest.

And now I'm back. Ready to get into the swing of things. But I'll be honest, I'm stepping back into some uncertainty.

I have so many amazing relationships. Some things are basically lined up. But a lot of things are up in the air. And that frustrates me. I'm someone who loves having a plan.

But my mentor Brenda told me something recently that hit me. She said, "Relax. Take one step at a time. Go with the flow. Trust God's process."

Trust God's process.

Core Message

Here's what I'm learning. God is not obligated to reveal everything about how 2026 is going to look. That's just not how He works.

And I think that's intentional. Because if we knew everything, we wouldn't need faith. We wouldn't need to lean on Him. We wouldn't stay in relationship with Him the way He designed us to.

The dots will connect. They always do. You've seen it in your own life. Looking back, you can see how it all made sense. But in the moment? It felt like chaos. It felt uncertain. It felt frustrating.

That's where you might be right now. And that's okay.

Exhortation

So here's my encouragement to you as we close out 2025.

Continue to rest. Continue to reflect on how you want to tackle 2026. But don't put pressure on yourself to know everything. You don't need to.

Just wake up. Do your best. Trust that God is your cofounder. Trust that if you're walking in your calling, He will make a way.

You have so much to be grateful for. Your relationships. Your health. The fact that you're here, listening to this. That's not nothing.

And when the swing of things really gets going? It'll really get going. But right now? Be patient with the process. Be patient with yourself.

Affirmations

Let's speak some truth. I'll say it, you repeat.

[Pause after each for repetition]

I trust God from the bottom of my heart.

I don't need to figure out everything on my own.

God will keep me on track.

The dots will connect.

I take one step at a time.

I am grateful.

Closing

That's it for today.

Let's finish this year strong. And let's step into 2026 with faith, not fear.

God is with you. Talk tomorrow.
