Welcome back to The Daily Spirit. Monday, December 8th, 2025. Five minutes of spirit-filled encouragement to start your week.
Opening Hook
When's the last time you thought about how miraculous it is that you're alive?
Not in a cheesy way. In a real way. The fact that you woke up this morning. That your heart is beating. That you have people who care about you.
I just got back from visiting my pastor. He lives about an hour outside Houston. Four-hour drive from Austin. It's a trek. But it's worth it to receive the covering.
This man has seen things. People deaf from birth, hearing for the first time. People in wheelchairs for years, walking out of his church. Running. And that's just scratching the surface.
Every time I visit him, I think about the word "miracle."
Scripture & Core Message
Psalm 118:24: "This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
This day. Monday. The day of the week you might normally dread.
The LORD made it.
We serve a God of miracles. Big ones. Healings. Deliverances. But also small ones. The miracle that you're breathing right now. That you have something to work on. That you have friends who care about you.
And importantly, Your life is a miracle. Don't let that become background noise.
Exhortation
Here's my encouragement to you today:
Re-enchant yourself with this reality.
As someone who is deeply familiar with emotional ups and downs, It can feel like a lot just to get up in the morning. To clock in. To step into the arena. I get it.
But you're breathing. You're relatively healthy. And I know you have at least one thing to look forward to today. One meaningful task to be challenged with today.
It's easy to gloss over these things, but your circumstances are full of blessings.
Even the technology that lets us stay connected across the world. Small miracles we take for granted.
I struggle with this too. Forgetting how miraculous reality is. Big ways and small ways. So this is a reminder for both of us.
Affirmations
Let's speak some truth over your Monday. I'll say it, you repeat.
[Pause after each for repetition]
This day is a miracle.
My life is a gift from God.
I will not take today for granted.
I serve a God of miracles, big and small.
I choose gratitude and action over dread and drudgery.
Mondays are not a burden. Mondays are a blessing.
