Episode 00014: God Is Your Cofounder
December 18, 2025
Greeting
Welcome back to The Daily Spirit. Thursday, December 18th, 2025. Five minutes of spirit-filled encouragement to start your day.
Opening Hook
Have you ever found yourself waiting too long for the right partner? The right cofounder? The right team?
Maybe you've been holding back on that idea because you feel like you need someone else to make it happen. Someone to lean on. Someone to share the load. And until they show up, you're stuck.
What if that's the wrong frame?
Scripture & Core Message
Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
All things. Not some things. Not the things you have a partner for. All things.
God can be your cofounder. He's available. Right now. You don't have to wait for the perfect person to show up before you start moving.
The Story
I caught up with my friend Ien yesterday. We hadn't talked since August. He's been on his own journey this year.
One thing that stuck with me: he shared how his dad—a pastor—eventually left a charismatic church he was part of. The church was full of love. Everyone was happy. But there was a lot of codependency. People couldn't have the same potency of spirituality away from the church. They needed the community as a crutch.
His dad left to nurture autonomy in people. To help them make decisions on their own. To teach them that they can connect with God directly, not just through a structure.
Ien's been living that out. He runs a creative agency. This year he brought in half a million dollars. No marketing. No cofounder. Just him and God. He said the only reason it worked was because this was the first year he genuinely tried to be of service to others.
He made it completely his own. And he leaned fully on God.
Exhortation
Here's my encouragement to you today.
You might be waiting for a business partner. A mentor. A spouse. A team. And maybe that person is coming. But maybe you're also using that as an excuse to not start.
What if God is enough? What if the Holy Spirit is the partner you've been waiting for?
There's a difference between strategic patience and fear disguised as waiting. Sometimes you're meant to go solo. To trust that God will give you everything you need for the next step.
That doesn't mean you'll be alone forever. Kingdom connections will come. The right people will appear. But you might have to start moving first.
Stop waiting for the perfect circumstances. God is your cofounder. He's already said yes.
Affirmations
Let's speak some truth over your independence. I'll say it, you repeat.
[Pause after each for repetition]
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God is my cofounder.
I do not need a crutch.
I move forward in faith, even solo.
The right people will come as I step out.
I trust that God is enough.
Closing
That's it for today.
Stop waiting. Start moving. God is already with you.
Talk tomorrow.
